From humble markets to a household name
Shimono began in [ 1998 ], long before imported Chinese electricals were widely accepted in Malaysia. We started where trust is built one conversation at a time — night markets and morning markets in [ 1999 ].
By [ 2000 ], we opened our first 200-sq-ft kiosk,
still shaking hands with every customer and standing behind every product.
As demand grew, so did our reach. We developed a robust supply network and began supplying across the world, always focusing on reliability, service, and word-of-mouth trust. To date, more than 2,500,000 customers have chosen Shimono—each one a chapter in our story.


In [ 2015 ], we entered TV shopping and became GOshop’s #1 brand for three consecutive years — proof that performance and service speak for themselves. We expanded into e-commerce in 2016, meeting customers wherever they were: on air, online, and at home.
Our products carried real lives forward: vacuums, blenders, fans, and a wider suite of everyday appliances that kept homes running beautifully. From countertop essentials to home-care mainstays, we delivered performance you could feel and quality you could see. Along the way, we collaborated with Malaysian icons Chef Wan and Amber Chia, who helped us share a simple truth: quality isn’t complicated—it’s consistent.
In 2026, we retired legacy appliances to focus entirely on elite water ionisation — so healthier water reaches more families. Everyone seeks a better life; we share that ambition and won’t stop at “good enough.” We push our engineering, service, and education further, aim beyond typical market standards, and price with transparency so access keeps widening.
